This is a very rare Phenakite crystal on Mica matrix. It is actually a combination of several crystals intergrown into one another and makes a beautiful specimen. It is in very good condition, with a couple small scratches on the back of the crystal, and it is perfect for collectors, metaphysisists as well as anyone searching for a beautiful specimen of Phenakite. It has several rainbows inside of it and is very powerful for metaphysical purposes. Its weight is 57 carats, or 11.4 grams.

GENERAL PHENAKITE/PHENACITE INFORMATION

Its formula is Beryllium Silicate - Be2(SiO4), and from a mine that has also produced world class Emeralds and Alexandrites (mine has not been open on a consistent basis since mid 1990's). Currently the mine does not produce any Phenakites, and all the Russian specimens are from older collections.
